The motherlode of old books

Look what I found!

Stack of used Nancy Drew books
Collect them all!
All in one very special Goodwill (for locals, it's the one in the Overlake area of Bellevue). I'm guessing the Nancy Drews came from a single owner. Am I wrong for grabbing them all? (Not quite all, actually. A few were too worn.) I just couldn't resist. Upcycled Nancy Drew Kindle cases fly off my Etsy shelves.

This is my favorite Nancy:

There's more to this moat than meets the eye...
This non-Nancy is special, too. I grew up with 3 beagles. (2 named "Snoopy," of course).
Guide to Beagles
C'mon-- would you read a book by beaglers who weren't noted?
That's one of my cats in the background (the black blob). He does NOT approve.

  1. What a great find! I grew up reading Nancy Drew, I couldn't wait until a new book came out and I'd find it under the tree on Christmas morning.

  2. Oh man, my heart skipped a beat when I saw all those classic Nancy's! I have a secret stash of them with which I shall never part. She got me through a rough childhood, along with the Dana Girls, the Bobbsey Twins, Trixie Belden...

  3. I know about Trixie and the Bobbsey Twins, but I don't know the Dana Girls. I'll have to research...
