Every day this week, I've returned from my mailbox with at least one piece of art from around the world.
Here are the first postcards I received as part of the iHanna DIY Postcard Swap.
Nancy from Missouri made this abstract piece. I love the vivid colors. Turns out we both follow artist Jane Davies. Nancy even took one of Jane's workshops!
Jenny in Colorado sent me a taste of spring. The birds frolicking in the birdbath remind me of my own backyard. I can almost feel the sun on my face!

An unexpected treat on the card back -- the wise owl holds a secret message! I'd tell you what it says -- but then the owl would have to…well, you know.
My first international card came from Liven in Norway. Another abstract work. I love the way the wavy lines undulate, like an optical illusion.
Jeane used an unusual substrate for her card -- corrugated cardboard. I love the nubby texture, and how it contrasts with the white lace. More birds, a cat, and two silly kids -- a picture of happiness!
Jeane's card came in a transparent envelope with this sparkly insert. Lucky me -- 2 cards for the price of 1!
i got such a kick out of the secret message on the back of Jenny's.
