Bag of collages

The latest project from my collage workshop is unremarkable. From the outside, anyhow:

It looks like elephant skin, but it's actually a brown wax paper bag stained with a faux patina. The bag holds 12 collages, made from torn bits of ephemera quickly assembled, without too much thought. The only fancy detail is a bit of stitching.

  1. I love that you did do stitching on your collages! Just great! Sometimes the most unremarkable hide the remarkable. I am reminded of walking along the streets of San Miguel Allende in Mexico. The houses are all behind walls and every once in awhile a door is open to show what is inside. That is where the remarkable is just like your collages.
