Kaleidoscope selfie

Yesterday, on a whim, I made this patterned background using Photoshop. It's like looking through a kaleidoscope.

Or like a regiment of spiders marching by. I made the pattern starting with a single image and then duplicating and rotating it, over and over. 

It all started with a photo I took by mistake. I was photographing some of my book tablet cases to post on my Etsy shop. 

My camera decided to snap a photo just as I was leaning over. Not a great look for me. Look at those chins!!!!

But I recognized the visual potential of my horrible selfie, and turned it into art. Silly art, but art nonetheless...
