Special delivery -- postcard art from around the world

The best thing about a swap is that, sometimes, you get back more than you put in! That's the case with this fall's iHanna DIY postcard swap. I made 10 cards (see them here) and sent them around the world. The 10 cards I got back were all kinds of wonderful.

Here's what I found in my mailbox, from artists around the world:

This one, from Toni, includes ephemera that I like to use in MY collages -- a woman from a vintage ad, sewing pattern tissue, and text from a book.

Kathy from South Carolina sent me this cool Hand of Fatima card:

Shawna from Spokane sent me this mesmerizing card, so elegant and incandescent:

Lynn sent me just what I needed from Allentown, PA -- a reminder that I'll see the sun again, someday!

The only clue I have to the creator of this enigmatic card is "Emerald Paper Company." I wonder if the artist is the girl in the center photo?

Penelope from nearby Longview WA monoprinted this eye-popping abstract piece. How did she guess purple is my favorite color?

Bears, bears everywhere! And flowers, too! This fun card full of Washi tape, made by Jacqueline, came all the way from Taiwan.

  1. These are great; thanks for showing them off! I've participated in this swap a couple of times in the past and almost signed up for this round, but didn't get around to it.
