Turns out that Covid-19 lockdown feels a lot like being a 1950s housewife -- home all day, with nothing to do but cook and clean. And make collages! So it's no surprise that my latest collages are filled with unhappy housebound women.
The collages below started as small (2 1/2" x 3 3/8") playing cards. The images come from my vast store of retro material, including old women's magazines (like McCalls), kids books (Nancy Drew, Donna Parker), old Handyman guides, Archie comics and even an old Sears catalog.
