Vintage doll ads

Advertisements are the best part of any vintage magazine -- and it doesn't matter whether it's National Geographic, Time, or Women's Home Journal. The images are carefully rendered, the layout is eye-catching and the ad copy is catchy. I love them!

Below are ads I found online for vintage dolls. They were so cool that I had to draw them -- even though I don't remember any of them (except, of course, for Barbie).

  1. Was it Tressy that had the hair that grows? That name sounds familiar - I had one of those. I also had a Honey West whose hair could be dyed with special markers - there was also a tv show called Honey West. Of course, many Barbie's. Don't know the others you drew.
